- Paper 2: General Studies II (CSAT) – qualifying only (33% minimum marks required)
Each paper:
- Duration: 2 hours
- Marks: 200 marks each

Paper 1: General Studies I Syllabus
1. Current Events of National and International Importance
- Recent happenings (last 12–18 months)
- Government schemes, international relations, sports, summits, etc.
2. History of India & Indian National Movement
- Ancient, Medieval & Modern History
- Emphasis on the freedom struggle, important personalities, and movements
3. India and World Geography
- Physical, Social & Economic Geography of:
- India: rivers, climate, soils, vegetation, agriculture
- World: continents, trade routes, resources
4. Indian Polity and Governance
- Constitution
- Political system
- Panchayati Raj
- Public policy
- Rights issues
5. Economic and Social Development
- Sustainable development
- Poverty, inclusion, demographics
- Social sector initiatives
6. General Issues on Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity & Climate Change
- General awareness – no in-depth subject specialization needed
7. General Science
- Basic physics, chemistry, biology
- Focus on daily life applications and current science developments
Paper 2: General Studies II (CSAT) Syllabus
(Qualifying – Only 33% required)

Note:
- CSAT is qualifying – if you don’t get 66/200 (33%), your GS Paper 1 won’t be evaluated.
